Abstract

There is no doubt about man's social nature. Islamic thinkers consider man to be a social being.  In our world today, where the void of honesty in speech, behavior, beliefs, ideas, and opinions is greatly evident in social relationships, people in any type of social relationship, especially with those who have power, wealth, and knowledge, assume lies in their behavior and words. Therefore, it is necessary to state the clear opinion of the Islamic religion on this matter and present it as a practical solution. In this article, the researcher examines the criterion for this support from the point of view of verse 119 of Surat Al-Tawbah. In this verse, we can see that it is discussed about social relations, whether governmental, economical, educational and so on. This verse also talks about ideological aspect and accompanying the infallible Imams. The result of this research is as the following: the main factor in any relation is honesty which is embodied by honest people. The research methodology of this research is a combination of descriptive and analytic method. The main sources are the Holy Qur’an, the Prophet’s Hadiths, and theological books.
