Abstract

This essay dealt with an important topic in the present time, the ways to deal with sectarian strifes from the point of view of the Holy Quran. This is due to the large number of strife and sectarian differences in Muslim countries. the enemies try to exploit and stir up strifes among Muslims.  The goal of this research is to study this phenomenon and find solutions for curing it. The study concluded that the methods of dealing with sectarian strife through the Holy Qur’an revolves around the following axes: 1- consolidating the culture of unity and spreading the spirit of brotherhood. For attaining this goal, we have studied the verses calling for unity, commanding it, as well as the verses that vilify division and prevent and prohibit fragmentation. We need also to study the verses that promote and consolidate unity such as: respect for the others, mutual trust, cooperation and love. For fighting sectarian strife, we need to observe certain principles: human unity, the unity of the sources of legislation, the need to obey divine and prophetic commands. 2- Scientific dialogue between Muslim scholars that is built on foundations and principles, the most important of which is: Recognizing the Islam for all Islamic schools and intellectual and jurisprudential currents, accepting freedom of thought and ijtihad, and refraining from insulting and defaming. 3- participation and cooperation in religious and social matters. 4- knowing the beliefs and opinions of the other sects.
