Statement of the Problem: The Holy Qur'an articulates enduring divine laws (sunan ilāhiyyah) that govern the course of history, among the most prominent of which is the law concerning the downfall of oppressive regimes. In light of this principle, the question arises as to its applicability to contemporary American hegemony, particularly as reflected in the statements of Imam Khamenei (r.a). Although numerous studies have examined American policy and global hegemony, a systematic investigation linking the Qur'anic perspective with Imam Khamenei's analysis of this phenomenon remains lacking. Objective: This study seeks to elucidate the Qur'anic foundations underlying the decline of American hegemony and to examine the extent to which Imam Khamenei draws upon the divine laws and Qur'anic verses in interpreting the trajectory of the American system's decline and affirming the inevitability of its eventual downfall. Research Methodology: The study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach by examining Qur'anic verses related to the divine law governing the destruction of oppressive peoples and regimes, analyzing Imam Khamenei's statements and their thematic content, and comparing the Qur'anic evidence with the intellectual and political framework he advances. Findings and Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that the Holy Qur'an establishes a universal historical law according to which regimes founded upon injustice and tyranny are ultimately destined to perish. The study argues that the American system falls within the scope of this law because of the theological, moral, political, and social injustices it perpetuates. It further shows that Imam Khamenei grounds his analysis of the decline of American hegemony in this Qur'anic framework, maintaining that the waning of American influence is not merely a geopolitical shift but a manifestation of an enduring divine law governing history. The study's principal scholarly contribution lies in its systematic integration of Qur'anic verses with Imam Khamenei's statements, thereby presenting a coherent Qur'anic interpretation of the causes underlying the decline of American hegemony.
