Abstract
The Islamic Revolution in Iran is a major revolution that cannot be confined within the boundaries of Iranian geopolitics or culture. Its reach, by virtue of the global dimension of Islam, has contributed to shaping a universal discourse encompassing all of humanity. Consequently, the effects of the transformations brought about by this revolution have manifested themselves across the entire world, making its impact and role in various arenas undeniable. Since the Islamic Revolution sought to build a system, a state, and a nation based on the teachings of the Holy Quran and the knowledge of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), studying and analyzing the fundamental indicators upon which this discourse rests is a scholarly and epistemological necessity. Furthermore, one of the most prominent issues emphasized by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and the Imams of Guidance (peace be upon them) throughout their arduous journey of struggle and jihad is the issue of confronting injustice and standing against oppressors. The principle of "opposing arrogance and confronting tyranny" is among the most rational, logical, and social principles needed by any powerful authority striving for progress and advancement, and it is a concept that requires further clarification, grounding, and deeper understanding. With the advent of the Islamic Revolution in the modern era, and the internal and external strategies put forward within its framework by its founder and leader, and with the ongoing work to consolidate and implement these strategies, the importance of understanding the dimensions of this topic and studying its various foundations increases. The significance of this topic lies, on the one hand, in its being a fundamental Qur'anic issue, and on the other hand, in the fact that the leaders of the Islamic community, as theorists of this concept and its most prominent defenders, possess a deep and precise understanding of its dimensions and implications. Therefore, grasping the true nature of this topic necessitates referring to their words and guidance.
Accordingly, this study addresses the issue of opposing arrogance as a strategic issue from the perspective of the Holy Qur'an, based on the guidance of the late Imam Khomeini (may God sanctify his soul) and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, considering it one of the most important indicators and fundamental themes in the discourse of the Islamic Revolution.
Keywords: Opposing arrogance, confronting arrogance, discourse of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, Imam Khamenei.
