Abstract

Statement of the Problem: This study examines the Qur'anic vision underlying the exegetical project of the martyred leader, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, by investigating how it reconstructs Qur'anic concepts with spiritual and legislative dimensions and transforms them from static, individual notions into dynamic principles that contribute to the construction of society and the shaping of human reality. The study proceeds from the premise that this exegetical approach offers a comprehensive reading of the Holy Qur'an that transcends the dichotomy between self-purification and civilizational development by redefining fundamental concepts such as Taqwā (God-consciousness), faith, Tawakkul (trust in Allah), the establishment of prayer, charitable giving, Jihād, and Tawḥīd (Divine Unity) as dynamic instruments for shaping collective consciousness and guiding social transformation.
Research Methodology: The study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach based on an examination of the exegetical texts comprising the project Islamic Thought in the Qur'an. It analyzes their conceptual structure and reconstructs them within their broader intellectual context in order to elucidate the Qur'anic vision that integrates human development with the construction of social reality.
Findings: The study demonstrates that this interpretive framework extends beyond moral exhortation and ethical instruction to establish a coherent intellectual system in which the believing individual is presented as an active agent of social transformation and assumes responsibility for shaping reality. Within this framework, faith-based knowledge is integrated with social and political action. The study further identifies a conceptual framework of the glad tidings of faith (al-Bashāʾir al-Īmāniyyah) as a means of fulfilling both existential and material human needs, thereby fostering inner tranquility and ultimate victory. It also deconstructs the notion of historical quietism (al-Tawākul al-Tārīkhī) and advances a fundamental reinterpretation of Tawḥīd as the rejection of every form of absolute obedience to any authority other than Allah. The study concludes that this exegetical approach presents an integrated vision in which Qur'anic values constitute a comprehensive framework for the development of both the individual and society, transforming humanity's relationship with divine revelation from passive individual reception into the collective construction of social reality.
