Abstract

Problem Statement:
Education, as a purposeful and continuous process, plays a crucial role in developing human potential, directing behavior, and fostering the growth of human personality. The Holy Qur’an, as a comprehensive program for human development, employs various behavioral educational methods, particularly in the verses related to legal rulings (Āyāt al‑Aḥkām).
Methodology:
This study aims to identify and explain these behavioral educational methods for two main purposes: first, to improve the rigid and less engaging approaches commonly found in traditional jurisprudential texts used by religious preachers and educators; and second, to present practical and appealing educational methods that can be effectively applied in the fields of teaching and moral training.
Objective:
The research adopts a descriptive–analytical approach alongside the thematic interrogative method of Qur’anic exegesis based on the methodology proposed by Muhammad Baqir al‑Sadr. In this approach, behavioral educational methods were first extracted from educational sciences and subsequently examined in relation to the verses of legal rulings in the Qur’an.
Results:
The findings indicate that the most significant behavioral educational methods include: enjoining good and forbidding wrong as a means of correcting the moral development of individuals; adapting the educational approach according to the circumstances of each learner; reducing obligations in accordance with individual capacities and abilities; confronting individuals with the consequences of their actions in order to strengthen their sense of responsibility; and applying punishment proportionate to the wrongdoing as a just and constructive educational strategy. Considering the diversity of these methods and the Qur’an’s attention to individual and social contexts, the study offers practical insights that can contribute to improving educational practices at both individual and societal levels.
